I have mentioned it many times on the blog and on my Facebook page that a car seat is the most important purchase to make when you had kids. Each and every year new seats come out and I get a little excited, I mean they come in so many different shapes, size, patterns etc. But what happens when they grow out of their car seats?
We never did the van thing, no offense to those who did, it just was not us. Then my sister came to visit and with two full sized car seats and a booster it was TIGHT! It was a long week but we made it through with only a couple issues. But i remember saying to my sister if only one of these seats were smaller!
Kids all grow at different rates. My son and a friend of his are complete opposites. One has outgrown the booster stage, while the other has not. But have you seen the seats available? They don’t always make the “big kid” feel very big. With my oldest it always causes a fight as he is not a “baby” anymore and doesn’t want to ride in a car seat. So finding a seat that keeps him safe and that he likes is like winning the lottery.
Mifold Grab-and-Go Booster
Mifold Grab-and-Go Booster is my newest secret weapon for my oldest. This is the future of booster seats and when you see it you will understand why. Meant for kids aged 4-12 from 40-100 pounds and 102-145cms. Meaning that my oldest can rid in a seat that keeps him safe without the hassle of feeling like a baby.
mifold is may be small but it is mighty! It is the most advanced, compact, and portable booster seat in the world. It is more than ten times smaller than other regular booster seats and just as safe. The mifold it folds up to 5in x 10in, making it easy to put in your child’s backpack, your purse or even some glove boxes so it is easily accessible and ready where ever you go.
A regular booster seat is designed to life your child up to be the same size as an adult, hence why they are bulky. The mifold does the opposite, instead it holds the seat belt in a safe position for a child. Meaning you can say goodbye to bulk without diminishing the safety of your child!
Many see the seat and ask if it is even safe. I get it when I first seen it I was curious and wondered the same thing.
Carfoldio. must certify that the mifold Grab-and-Go booster seats sold in Canada meet the RSSR regulations, specifically CMVSS 213.2. Carfoldio. tests the mifold to provide that certification and Transport Canada performs annual compliance testing to verify that this certification is accurate. In a nut shell that means this seat is safe!
Now, can my child use the seat on his own? The answer is yes! It took a bit of a learning curve but once we practiced a bit my oldest had it no problem. My youngest we tried and while he fit the seat he was not able to independently due it up just yet.
Whether you own a car or not the mifold is a must. Perfect for carpooling, when grandparents stop by or even when riding in a taxi! Those are vehicles too you know! Small enough to tuck into a bag but mighty enough to keep your child safe!
