Go bananas with Fingerlings Baby Monkeys
In this day and age it seems toys have taken a more interactive approach. At first I was a little hesitant about it because I figured children would loose the “imagination” in their play. But the more I seen my boys playing and the more I read it seemed to do the opposite. Fingerlings are a fun new toy from WowWee that we were sent to check out!
- Fingerlings respond to sound, motion, and touch with blinking eyes, head turns, and silly monkey babble.
- Blow them kisses and they will kiss you back; Pet them to sleep or make a loud noise and watch them get excited
- Hang them upside-down by the tail and watch them monkey around
- Fingerlings are available in different colors and will sing together; Collect them all (Batteries included)
They were cute! Available in 6 different colours and they all have their own special names. Mia the purple Fingerling, Sophie the White Fingerling, Boris the Blue Fingering, Finn the Black Fingerling, Bella the Pink Fingerling and Zoe the Turquoise Fingerling. But the question was, would they keep the kids entertained?
Finn was the lucky winner when my guy decided which one he wanted to play with. I think it was his bright blue Mohawk that made him more enticing. The packaging said Finn would come to life with over 50 various animations.
It took a couple minutes before we could get a hang of how to play with our new baby monkey. Different actions, grips etc were needed to get our new toy to react in different ways. I can not tell you the laughter that came out of our playtime today. Hearings the fun monkey language, seeing him move and respond to touch was pretty cool. Once we figured it out we were able to know what actions brought the best response from our new little friend.
This toy may be small but it is mighty. For $19.99 at Toys R Us you can bring home a pretty sophisticated pet. I was mesmerized when I seen my littlest cradling Finn to get him to take a nap. Looking over and trying to ask him questions I was told SHHHH you will wake him up. I giggled and thought to myself now he knows how I felt a couple years ago. I don’t want to spoil it but when you get your new friend hang them on your finger upside down and see ther response you get.
Overall our experience was very positive. They kept my youngest entertained and even attracted my oldest. The recomened age is 4 – 14. While a 4 year old could easily play with it they could get a little frustrated when first trying to figure out how to make it work. But with a little patience and guidance your Fingerlings Baby Monkeys will come to life right before your child’s eyes!
