Pastrami with Pickles and Mustard #Recipe

The school year is in full swing and that means I have STARVING boys when they get home from school. I wont like the prepackage snacks have been a favourite in our house as they are EASY. But this year I am trying to stay away from that stuff and encourage the kids to explore various tastes. This recipe for Pastrami with Pickles and Mustard is super simple, tasty and can be tailored to your own tastes!

Pastrami with Pickles and Mustard

Pastrami with Pickles and Mustard Recipe
Pastrami with Pickles and Mustard
 Prep Time: 5 min     Total Time: 5 min     Makes 2 servings, 2 topped crackers each.

What You Need

  • 4 TRISCUIT Crackers
  • 4 slices pastrami (1 oz.)
  • 4 bread ‘n butter pickle chips
  • 1 tsp. whole grain mustard

Make It

  • Top crackers with remaining ingredients.
Tips
Substitute: Prepare using sliced leftover cooked beef brisket.
Nutrition Information Per Serving:  80 calories, 2.5g total fat, 0.5g saturated fat, 10mg cholesterol, 380mg sodium, 10g carbohydrate, 1g dietary fiber, 0g sugars, 4g protein
Not only is this a tasty snack but would be perfect in the lunch box! My guy enjoys a spicy mustard and pickle so we would change it up to add a little sizzle! What about you? Think this is simple enough to whip up?

    Wow, I never would have thought of this and so simple too. My kids would definitely like it, I’d just have to skip the mustard on one. I like thinking outside of the box when it comes to my kids meals/snacks.

    Love your presentation! My boys are too picky to eat this but it sounds perfect as a bedtime snack for my husband.

    This does look easy to make but unlike most other people I don’t eat pastrami, pickles nor mustard. Now replace the pastrami with a slice of chicken breast/salmon/Prosciutto and it’s a good start 🙂
