Sushi, Sister and Conversation! #WordlessWednesday

Nothing is better then spending some quality time with family. My older sister lives in another province so getting together only happens a couple times a year. But my younger sister is always up for a fun adventure. Our Favourite thing to do is…you guessed it yummy Sushi! sMy favourite has got to be anything mango and or spicy! But if we are honest, just getting out of the house for adult conversation is like winning the lottery. I also love not having to rush through my meal, tell  ...

Wordless Wednesday – DIY Body Scrub

Oh man only 18 days left till the jolly man comes and I am pretty much ready. Last thing on my list is teacher gifts! This year I really want to involve the boys in the process and figure my DIY Coconut Citrus Sugar Scrub is perfect. I don’t know about you but I love receiving homemade gifts. Something about it being made with love and the whole thought process is truly appreciated. If we are being honest, I don’t really need anymore “stuff” so practile things are  ...

Wordless Wednesday – When My Brother Turned Into An Uncle

Growing up my brother and I had a weird relationship. He always seemed to get whatever he wanted and never got in trouble. I am sure it had to do with being the baby and well he was the only boy. Growing up my sister and I kind of took him under our wing and made sure he didn’t get into much trouble. “I am smiling because you are my brother. I am laughing because there is nothing you can do about it!” Now that I have my own boys I get to see him in a new role, an uncle!  ...

Olsen Not getting to spend as much time with my family as I  sucks to be honest. But when I do, I like to make it  ...

Wordless Wednesday – It’s All About The Water

This journey of getting healthy has had many ups and downs. I don’t think I would be able to do it on my own and appreciate all the support each and every day. Some people want to know what the trick is, if I am taking supplements or if I am paid to share my journey. I can honestly answer by saying there is no trick, I am not taking any supplements and I am not paid in anyway to share my success or my failing moments. Today I wanted to share a simple tip that I have been trying to  ...

Wordless Wednesday – Sleeping In A Box

These last couple of works, sleeping and my youngest have not been used in the same sentence. He has wanted me to sit with him, get him water, read to him etc and finally I told him I was leaving and it was bedtime. After 30 minutes there was silence so I went and check on him and this is what I found…… So tell me have you ever found your kids sleeping in a weird position?

Wordless Wednesdays – Boys and Dolls

I let my sons play with dolls not for attention, or because I think it is a fad, but because I hope one day they will become fathers and I want to give them every opportunity to practise. Watching them love and care for this little baby doll truly has shown me love from a different perspective. To my youngest this little baby became a friend, a little baby in need. He hugged, kissed and gave it what he felt needed at the time, this is what will help him become a good Daddy one day!
