Father’s Day with Jack Links Jerky

When I visit my Dad the first thing my boys do is usually tell him they are hungry. We could of just ate before walking in the door but it never fails they are ready to eat as soon as they get there. It could have to do with the fact my Dad always has the best snacks and gives the boys pretty much whatever they want to eat. I use to fight it but have come to realize he is their Papa and if he wants to give them some treats it is totally fine. We have already given my dad his gift for  ...

Fishing Themed Teacher Gift

The weather is getting warmer, the days are longer and the kids are out in full force. I myself am sitting back counting down the days till Summer vacation starts. Like my boys I get to be home and enjoying all their fun adventures. With the year ending I also start planning gifts for the teachers. I mean for the last ten months they have had my boys more during the week then I have. That means each and everyday they have helped my boys grow in many ways, so thanking them is only natural. I  ...

Crochet Valentine Hearts

When thinking of what to crochet for Valentine’s Day, I got a bit of inspiration from Repeat Crafter Me with her Puffy Heart pattern.  I worked from her pattern to create two quick and easy projects! Three Heart Mobile Using the Puffy Heart pattern, I made three puffy hearts.  I chose to make mine red, white and pink.  You could choose which ever colors are your favorite.  Then cut a 30 inch length of each color yarn, fold them in half together and loop tied them to a key chain ring.   ...

Get Styling this Holiday Season with Zutano

When the boys were younger I was lucky as I had a friend that had a little boy older then mine so I got all their hand me downs. Sadly after about a year my kids ended up being bigger and the hand me down train ended. I had to start buying my clothes *GASP* and it was a new experience for me. I figured cheaper was better and bought the three dollar shirts from local department stores. Sadly after a couple washes they would fall apart and I was buying yet another shirt. Hubby finally told me  ...

Cook by Colours – Independence in the Kitchen #NCGiftGuide2015

My oldest LOVES to cook and be in the kitchen. But sadly I don’t always have the time to have him in there with me which makes him a little annoyed.  Lately he has been wanting to get in there more, so I have been trying to slow down and let him be a little more independent. I mean what’s better then a man who can cook? His future wife will thank me! With him showing more interest and wanting to do more on his own, I knew I needed to find a way that we both could feel  ...

Christmas Books from Amazon #NCGiftguide2015

Christmas is that holiday that I enjoy the most. It could be the beautiful decorations, light and yummy treats but in the end it is the time I spend with my family that I value most. One of the things both my boys enjoy is that we read a Christmas book each and every night as we count down to the special day. I was really excited to check out some new books and was sent a variety that were published on Amazon’s independent-publishing platforms – CreateSpace for print books and  ...
