Make Your Own Natural Chest Rub

The weather is changing and the germs are coming! My hubby has been sick more times then I would like to admit and I really don’t like pumping various chemicals into his body. So this time I wanted to try making my own Natural Chest Rub to help with the coughing and phlegm build up.

Make Your Own Natural Chest Rub

Ingredients

Directions

Place the coconut oil in a glass jar or bowl. Then microwave for 8-10 seconds or until it is completely melted.
Once the coconut oil is melted add the eucalyptus, lavender and peppermint oils and stir to combine.
Let the mixture re-solidify before using. This can be done at room temperature or in the fridge to speed up the process.

Once you Natural Chest Rub is complete you can rub it on your chest, back and neck. It is not recommended for use if you have sensitive or broken skin. Do not apply anywhere on your face. Please do your research and make sure Essential Oils are right for you before use.

What natural remedy do you use to help relieve cold symptoms?

Marvellous, noted the recipe but will have to get the peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils. No rush though as I’m not ill touch wood.

This sounds very soothing. When I have a cold I like ginger tea.

Looks easy enough. I’ll have to try this! I am just starting to come down with something so I may get a chance sooner rather than later.
