Knowing that you can take care of many things naturally helps me rest easy. I love that to help the boys drift to sleep I can use lavender, to ease my upset stomach I can use peppermint and to help with first aid care Tea Tree Oil. So many of my meds and first aid items can easily be thrown out with these three oils in my cabinet.

This year we had gotten a real Christmas tree,. The one thing I struggled with was the sap that got all over my fingers when I handled it and got it into place. We tried many different things and were at a loss. Thankfully I read that Eucalyptus Oil was great to remove sticky residue such as stickers, so I figured I would give it a try. I am happy to report that I mixed a couple drops with a carrier oil and rubbed it into my hands, rinsed with warm water and the residue was gone!

Have you used essential oils before?

I have often used Tea Tree oil in a bowl with a towel over my head to help clear my sinuses and it works really well – however do not open your eyes whilst inhaling, I learnt the hard way not to do that. 🙂
