New Year, New Stuff on Netflix

When January rolls around it is always a feeling of a fresh start. I can start with a clean slate and make the year whatever I want it to be. This year I have decided to slow down. This means I will take time for me, I will not book our calendar so full we have no time to breath and we will spend a lot more downtime together as a family. Thanks to Netflix our downtime is super easy to plan.

I have enjoyed watching Fuller House, Call the Midwives, This is Us and so many other great shows. So you can imagine how excited I am for the new year. Netflix has many new shows that are worth getting excited for. Whether you are looking for something for the kids or yourself there are tons of titles to pick from

For the Kids

Trolls: The Beat Goes On!

The Trolls movie was a family favourite in our home. Thanks to Netflix we can continue the fun at home following the adventures of Poppy, Branch and all their Troll friends.

Llama Llama

OK, I know I said the kids were excited for this but really I am! This is one of my favourite series to read at home and in my class.

“Llama Llama Red Pajama” may be one of the catchiest children’s rhymes of all time (just ask Ludacris). Whether your kids grew up on the books or still reach for it every night, there’s a good chance Llama and his Mama have been a mainstay in your family’s bedtime routine. And now, the beloved bedtime stories are coming to Netflix, with the launch of the official animated Llama Llama series on January 26.

A Series of Unfortunate Events

This is a show for the older crowd. The dark comedy series following the ill-fated Baudelaire siblings returns on March 30 for a second suspense-filled season with Neil Patrick Harris reprising his role as the cunning Count Olaf.

For the Family

One Day at a Time

This is a new one for me. A fun and witty series based around a single mom. My friends all rave about it and tell them they can relate to it on many levels. It is totally on my Must Watch Bucket List.

Altered Carbon

Do you enjoy a Murder Mystery? My oldest just loves them! This new series is a fast-paced cyberpunk series where death isn’t permanent and human consciousness can be digitized and downloaded from body to body. I am excited to find something new that we both can watch.

Fuller House

This has been a favourite and I have enjoyed sharing it with my oldest. Knowing that another season is coming makes me so happy I could squeal…yup I am that kind of mom:P

Are you excited for a year of binging, laughing and snacking? I know I am and I can not wait to relax a little more with the people who matter most, my family!
